Stansted parking

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Jonathan Schneider, Aug 10, 2009.

  1. Morning,

I've got to go to Newquay in a few weeks and doing my bit for carbon
footprint and living in Cambridge am looking at Eiroflot/Ryanair from
    Stansted.

The BAA website says there is free motorbike parking.

    Is it reasonably secure ?

What do you do with helmets/boots/leathers ? Are there lockers ?
Failing that it'll be a lock threading exercise and the boots will
    stay at home.

    Cheers,

    Jon

As you're in Cambridge why not just hop on the Stansted Express?

There's an open air bike park more or less directly opposite the
terminal entrance. It's as secure as any other bike park <shrug> but
there's nowhere to stash your gear, unless you want to pay for the
left luggage office. Looks like a stout plastic rubble sack and a lock-
    threading exercise, then.

There's a train from Cambridge to Stansted every 10 mins past the hour
    that takes 35 mins.

Do you know, I thought that there was a Cambridge - Stansted fast
    service too.
