spotted this on offer at halfrauds. not the best quality but might do as a present or starter kit. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_728767_langId_-1_categoryId_165572 -- Adie (replace spam with nickname to reply) UKRM FAQ: http://www.ukrm.info/faq/ YZF-R1 : FZ1N : RD350LC (anyone would think I was partial to Yamahas) keeper of the FAQ for my sins MRO#11 BOTAFOF#7 BOTAFOT#130 DIAABTCOD#17 MIB#24 YTC#16 BOB#15 ex-UKRMMA#22 BOMB#11
Don't know about the toolkit, but I've just reserved one of these: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/HalfordsProductDetails LiteView?storeId=10001&catalogId=10151&langId=-1&productId=743669&TB_ifr ame=true&TB_C_ID=productdetails&TB_C_TITLE=Halfords+6+Drawer+Combo+Tool+ Chest+With+Doors&width=800
Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, SteveH 'Kinell, that's cheap! Looks like the profit warning has provoked a bit of a dash for cash at Halfords.
I fear it may not be the best quality unit in the world. I miss my old Machinemart/Clarke cabinet. The Draper one I got from the insurers isn't nearly as well made.
I don't know, a cheap hammer with gaffa tape around the handle is just as effective as an expensive rubber covered handle one when the blood begins to flow.
I tend to agree, I just bought one of these http://www.justtools.com.au/prod363.htm Which is a ridiculous price, but when I want it to work, I *really* want it to work. However, bicycle cone spanner, they can be made out of cream cheese, because a rough a ready fit, with 3/5ths of fuckall torque, does the job. Big socket sets on the other hand, when you have a wrench in one hand a scaffolding pole in the other...
Halfords and Clarkes still persist in stuffing many of their better socket sets with Imperial sizes, which is ever so slightly annoying, like this www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_177693_langId_-1_categoryId_165572
I bought one similar to that a couple of years ago - basically I wanted the chest The tools are fairly poor quality, but for the price, what do you expect - replace as you go along
Indeed. I got it over the channel this week (no, not Top Gear stylee) and it's just fun. Now the weather's warmed up I can even start it on my own without need of an assistant to drop the decompressor. I love the way it goes, a puff of black smoke about every 10 seconds as it slowly groans into life. I haven't quite got the hang of the rear wheel steering yet.
