I am in the middle of a rebuild on a 1976 honda cb550f and I have no spark when I kick it over. The manual for the bike says the stator coils should show a resistance of 35 ohms but they only show 16 on all three coils and none of them show a short to ground. Is the book wrong or is this the cause of my lack of spark. I have not invested in a battery yet to test the rest of the electrical system I wanted to get this little hurdle over with first. Is there anything else I can check? Points look good.Any and all help would be appreciated.
