not my cup of tea, either of them.
it was so wet, we[1] had to drink our beers down almost in one each
time we bought them, to avoid the cups filling back up with water.

[1] I was there with Kenyon

well, *someone* played a DJ set before the band came on, it *might*
    have been Tasmin.

I saw Aussie Pink Floyd last night. Their current tour does the whole of
The Wall, and a few other bits. Good it was.

it's not cheap, but it's usually a fantastic night out.
    well, exactly.
Oh, difficult. Though the one that sticks in my mind most is seeing
"Jerry Springer The Opera" with David Soul in the lead role: that was
    fantastic on so many levels.

Or, maybe Glengarry Glenn Ross from a year or so back - also totally
    fantastically good.
I'd love to have seen it. I wasn't living here at the time.

I love it, especially stuff that "bends the rules" and makes it hard
to suspend disbelieve (e.g. breaking the 4th wall), which I expect
    you'd hate.

  10. There's a really good song called "Breaking the 4th wall" by a band
called "The Reasoning". Who are more non-commercial rock than Prog but
still very very good. They supported Marillion when I last went to see
    them at Colston.

Who will rid me of this turgid prog-rock bore?

That's really wierd. I love decently-done theatre - they have to work
so much harder than they would in films, and a decent production can
really get me sucked into it for the duration. Plus it's _never_ the
same twice, so only those people in the theatre with you will ever get
to see exactly the same production as you did, which kinda makes it
    more special for me.

  14. Hmm, bad time to say I bumped into Fish after an all star gig at the
Manchester Apollo, turned out we were staying in the same hotel, so had
a yarn with them in the bar afterwards?

Them being Paul Young, Tom Robinson, Mike Rutherford and numerous others
that I've forgotten the names of.

  19. This is the first time I've watched this programme (womenfolk wanted it
    tonight), and...

I laughed my socks off at those two. And thought that young bit of
tottie had a voice that would make Saint Peter sit up and take notice.
