It is becoming an all too regular scenario lately.
Riders travel to Sydney to race, only to wake in the morning to find bikes,
    gear and transportation missing.
Competitors awoke on Sunday morning of the Mr Supermoto NSW series to find
their pride, joy and associated bits and pieces gone work gone.
It is difficult to put a price on the theft, accounting that the competitors
were from interstate and needed to buy tickets to fly home, tools that are
built up over years, but a figure of over $250 000 would not be far off.

Below is a quick summary of what went missing.

    Isuzu 2.5 tonne truck tonne.
    Daniel McKenzie's Yamaha YZ450F 2005 no 51 vin# JYACJO6C25A003734 Eng
    #J319E0003751
Blue bike silver rims Staintune exhaust with no 51 on plates.
    Noels Billeaus KTM SMR 525 2005 no 181 Vin. # VBKMXM4345M436261
    Eng # 559001232
    Ashley Woolfords KTM SMR 525 2005 no 12 Vin# VBKMXN4355M438116
    Eng # 559005624
Joel Whitakers Kawasaki KX250F 2005 no 875 with a Muzzy Exhaust
KTM 525 SMR 05 orange bike black rims Akrapovic exhaust no 181 on plates
KTM 525 SMR 05 orange bike silver rims white brothers carbon pro exhaust no
    12 on plates
Also in the truck was, 2 sets tyres slicks, 3 sets motard rims silver, 4
sets tyre warmers: Sportsbikes warmers, 1 set yellow centre, 2 sets orange
centre and 1 set green centre. 4 gear bags. Helmets, boots, leathers, back
protectors, goggles and gloves.Honda generator 5.8kva, 3 tool boxes and lots
of spares for all bikes. In the trailer there was Junior riders Cheyne
    Brenton's bike a YZF 250 2005 with 55 on plates
and a generator plus his entire race gear, tools and spares.
All was in a enclosed trailer with his photo on the sides and was painted
YAMAHA COLS MOTORCYCLES KEMPSEY AND PAINTED BLACK.

Also stolen was The Jackson Equipment racing van and setup with Joe Harvey's

number 82 Yamaha YZF250 and gear.

This included a MX setup YZF250, 3 sets of Jackson Equipment racing leather
suits, a generator and associated equipment and tools.
The transport vehicles were later found incinerated with owners not knowing
what has been stolen and what has been pointlessly torched.
Motorcycle dealers should point out this theft to their staff and have them
be on the look out for people trying to buy motocross equipment, such as
front fenders, standard braking setup, motocross rims, hubs and spokes.
These bikes will be difficult to off load as the two KTM's were from a batch
of 5 SMR's that were brought into Australia and the Supermotard 2nd hand
    market is relatively small.
There is also the possibility of these bikes and equipment being shipped
overseas, so freight moving companies and the like should take note of any
    suspicious items being shipped.

If you have any information on this theft you should call the police or
contact this website. www.supermotard.com.au or Daniel Mckenzie Ph 0414 688
