Not at all, young Iain. I have one with which to run about the
    estate.

we had that issue too when we bought our place - it's been a rental for
years - so now all the locks are changed and we have security doors....
we've got the two road bikes in the garage and two trials bike - not
to mention all the computers (old and new) lying around... wasn't worth
    us not changing....

I've never changed in a rental before - ubt I don't think I ever really
had anything of worth.... now I do...

Yeah, the locks were changed when we moved into the place, the landlord has
the receipt as well. I later found out however, that the existing deadlock
wasn't going dead, as the dead latch wasn't engaging. Bugger! This means
they can still push the tongue back without a key etc.

I think I'll go out and buy a Kaba experT or Abloy Protec barrel for the
front door pretty soon. It's something I can take with me to the next house,
and just put the old one back. The Kaba experT is nice. 4 radial mounted pin
systems, hardened steel, only registered user can have the keys cut etc etc,
so make picking the lock nigh on impossible. Gotta be better than the single
pin barrel systems they have on most houses. Barrel and 5 keys will be $150
or so. Not a bad investment, as I said, I can take it to any house I go to,
and most people are welcome to security improvements, so shouldn't have a
    hassle.

I'm also putting internal locks on all the doors. Each bedroom will have
it's own key, as well as another door down into the garage. There's also a
door at the top of the stairs that will also be locked and keyed as well. As
we all know, they can get through it yeah, but anything to put them off or
make them take more time is a bonus. Hopefully it'l just seem like too much
work and piss off to an easy target (which this house was).

I replied today but it doesn't seem to have come through....
Yep, gNat and I will be there Mike.
She's banned me from putting a towbar on the GS so I'll have to see if I
can strap enough luggage on to make for a comfy trip.
(I'll have to kill a sheep too 'cause the seat is surprisingly hard on my
    arse!)

Freight it down by Bus, cheap as chips, makes the ride 10000% more
fun, and have Slej, or someone down here pick it up... welcome to send
it here, IM only 1 and half hours from the Is, you can pick up from
here on way past, its about 3klms to Cranbourne from here.

    Hey Clem,
I was going to comment about you being too used to riding sheep,
and suggest that you kill the one/s you've been riding. so they couldn't
give evidence against you, but then I realised sheep riding (chortle) is
normal practise in Australia so no worries. grinnnn.

I think I'm gonna start saying that Patrols are shitboxes every single
    time anybody mentions them...

big (but then 4WD=shitbox goes without saying in this ng, right?)[/QUOTE]

No need to, it is after all, a tautology.
