    Did I ? I think

"You expect logic where the EPA are concerned?"

Is pretty straight forward, and I agree with the statement - they've
shown little ability to be logical in my dealings with them.
Some admit it, some don't :)

    The lie:
"We won't just automatically click our heels and follow the Americans."
    John Howard, September 2002
    The facts:
But one year earlier John Howard offered George Bush a blank cheque just
two days after September 11, 2001 when he said: "I've indicated
Australia will provide all support that might be requested of us by the
United States in relation to any action that might be taken."

just because they have the same name, doesn't mean they're on the same
page - just look at the MRAx...

EPA NSW can only wish to have the brains available to it the
    Californians have

  3. EPA is a big body. In many areas they do an outstanding jobs, and they are
very switched on. Reputations are often corroded by the misactions of a
few. However, I am expecting a "Californian type" push from the ones you
    are dealing with.

The original comment was replying to Biggus about his logic that the ZX10
would be illegal, as the '12 was.

I'm not sure if he (Dale) missed that, as well as you, or he agreed with the
above logic of our one eyed and infallible Biggus.

Then again, I'd hate to be one of these people that need to flock to a
    capital city

  4. You are missing my point and assuming too much.

This could easily go down the boorish track of Police, all bastards......

I don¹t care for motorcycling groups that capital city based and do only
    things for capital city members.

Prolly, so be more explicit then.
That's cool, MCC're an equal opportunity motorcycling group, you want
something other than what we're doing ? that's cool, but put up or shut
up - raise the issue, and help do something about it, don't just whinge
we're not doing it, we'll give you support if we can. We asked for the
list of what everyone wanted, and with the resources we have we're
addressing those requests as best we can.

Pointless needling hammo, you know how things done works.

<shrug> Undoubtably true, the entire epa nsw noise fiasco can be laid at
the feet of one guy, and as I understand it he's no longer in that role,
doesn't mean anyone's about to fix his screw up unless we put a lot of
constant pressure on over a very long time, and that's what shits me.
It's going to take years of pressure to clean up this crap.
<shrug, again> if true it's fine by me, i'm all in favour of emmissions
controls, did you know the US noise laws are far less tight than Oz ? In
fact the euro emissions regs are much tighter than CA as well.
Biggus ?, god knows, who cares, long since killfiled. Dale's comment
stood on it's own regardless of whatever crap prompted it.
To each their own. Whatever makes you happy

  7. Look at how California is regarded re emissions, bikes etc. If you thought
I was referring to the EPA equiv, then you thought wrong.
    Pot, kettle....

You listed it. I gave a counter example. I could say the same about the
    whinge re: EPA.

You, (oh sorry, it was the royal "we") (the request for ideas) cant do
anything of benefit for me, so there is no point me offering ideas.

As for them being equal opportunity, I didn't realise you were into comedy!

What do you or any MRAx/MCCx plan to do that would benefit me that I
couldn't do myself? Perhaps some discount coupon at a place I don¹t go to
cos it's in Syd or Melb or Adelaide?

HOG or Ulysses have more to offer and are local!

You're on a whole 'nother plane to me again Hammo. I'll just nod sagely
and go get another round. hey ?

    (ie wtf ?)
HOG and Ulysses are members of the MCC NSW, so if that's your preferred
representation route (or not), cool. I'm sure you're aware that there's
about zero cross over between what those two organisations do and MCC.
The MRA groupings I can't comment on, never been involved.

    Whatever.

I carried gNatalie's bag on the petrol tank from Tullamarine to the Island
but I certainly wouldn't wanna' do that the whole way from Brisbane!
No, Biggus's idea has merit (and I actually did something similar 5 years
or so ago... Was it delivered to Dale's house?).
Another thought is to just buy a second tent, airbed, chair, esky etc and
leave them at my brother's house. (The ones I've got generally sit in the
closet 51 weeks of the year anyway!).
    Hmmm.....
