He had a solid ride in China, he may well have done better but he got stuck behind Gibernau for several laps which (as he stated) ruined his race, he said Gibs had better drive out of the corners but he could catch up on brakes, he also commented all the Hondas had problems with mid corner grip except the Repsol Hondas. He out braked himself trying to make up time putting him back to 11th where he battled back to take 5th, a commendable effort. It will be interesting to see how he goes as the season progresses, his biggest hurdle may be bike development as his team is probably lowly placed on the HRC goodies allocation. On the other hand if he continues to do well and completes the season in the same form he has started it will be interesting to see where he ends up next season, I have read Yamaha are very keen to get him and Honda keen to keep him riding a Honda.
