Strange SOBoxer behaviour

    Eh? They are not you know. Not from Motorworks anyway. They stock the
    uprated coil pack. IIRC the leads are bonded in. It should never fail again.

    If you call 84 quid 'not cheap'.... and, ISTR, Motorworks want something
    like 25 quid per HT lead, too.

    Anyway, got a cheap coil on ebay, and Motobins pattern HT leads on their
    way.

    Heh.

    I'm fixing it, then will seriously consider selling it on. But not for a
    grand.

    I know it's probably irrational, but my experience last week has really
    put me off it.

    don't forget the heat paste or the ignition module will toast quickly :)

    PS have you checked the valve clearances havent closed up?

    In my original post I did suggest he do the valve clearances as well. It's
    part of the the SO Mono B mantra.

    I haven't. Don't have any feeler gauges. But they don't sound any
    different, IYSWIM.

    It would be tighter exhaust valves and so no increase in noise

    Had some. Never used them. Lost them. Usually GAMI when valve clearances
    need doing.
