Straw Poll: Council Tax Increases?

    Got mine through today:

    Essex CC +4.5%
    Essex Police +4.9
    Essex Fire +2.9%
    Chelmsford Borough +11.3%

    Total +5.4% = £1,988.09

    Should be wearin' masks the fuckin' highway robbers.

    Depends on whether you like to be middle class or not. If you aspire to
    middle classness then you are obliged to pay everyone elses (the lower
    and upper classes) taxes.

    That's what I was thinking. It's bad enough paying Narfuck taxes.

    Big increase in the police allotment, mostly gone to pay the top 10% in
    the force, it would appear. Nothing for the guys at the work face.
