Fleeing biker clocks 220kmh through suburb
    November 10, 2007 - 9:54AM

A motorcyclist has been clocked reaching speeds up to 220kmh in a
    60kmh zone on Brisbane's northside.

Two police officers conducting radar checks on the Deagon Deviation at
Bracken Ridge allegedly observed a motorcyclist performing a wheel
stand at 169kmh in a 100kmh zone around 9.15pm yesterday.

Police called off a chase of the motorcyclist when he was clocked on
the Houghton Highway bridge at a speed of 220kmh. The maximum legal
speed for the bridge is 60kmh.

The 21-year-old motorcyclist was caught a short time later on
    Elizabeth Avenue, police said.

He was charged with two counts of dangerous operation of a motor
vehicle and one count of evading police.

He will appear in the Sandgate Magistrates Court on December 17.
