    Hi Folks,
Do you know of any interesting mistakes on or with a motorcycle
that might make a fun addition to www.stupid-mistakes.com ?
    Thanks,

    That's only a mistake if you're riding.

Such as the time when Robin Hood caught the Sheriff, tied him
backwards on his Royal Enfield's pillion and paraded him through
    the streets of Nottingham.

  6. I have to make a web site and I was concerned it might look a bit shit.

Having seen this guys site and if that's the standard of a professional
site, I think I can relax a little.

So did I. A BSA Victor 441. The stupid mistake was trading it
    for some Honda POS.

  9. He posted the same thing in alt.html just a bit ago, too. He has several
similar sites, and spams them quite frequently. Look for "odd-..."
    domain names, too.

Didn't seem funny at the time, but I once failed to kick my sidestand up far
enough, so it didn't detent in place. I went several blocks before I
crossed rough railroad tracks at 30 mph which threw the stand down into the
other detent. I pogoed off into a tree lawn ass over teacup. According to
tradition, I first looked around to see if anyone saw, then quickly got back
astride and continued as though nothing had happened. Traditions are there
    for us.

That 441 Beezer was one of the worst trail bikes ever built. My friend
hated ringadings, so while the rest of us all got Jap enduros and MX's, he
insisted that 4-strokes rule. One day while out group riding, we had to
wait for him and his Beezer to make up one short but steep hill. He tried
and tried. Finally he got so far back he was WFO in 4th when he came up to
the hill. He made it all right, finally. He sailed clear over the top and
out of our sight. We heard a crash and much swearing. We rode back up the
hill to find him under his 441, upside down, facing backwards, stuck halfway
down a Crab Apple tree(thorns). That was Saturday. Monday morning he
    bought a Kawasaki 400cc 2-stroke.

Prolly because it was designed for track racing.

A Motocross dirt track doesn't count as a "track"?

  18. Yes, it does.

Not much left to work out now, using the process of elimination, so
even you should manage it :).

Ouch, that was a cool bike with the split/dual wheels. It was supposed to be a
one of a kind wiz-bang of engineering but I believe that they built a few for
people who were willing to pay $500G, but no chain as a disclaimer that it was
    not to ride.
