Hang on a tic; you're leaving a measurement out!
It should be 135/78/15 and 155/78/15 (or thereabouts)

  2. I thought his tyres were a bit low profile and no wonder he had to get new
    wheels!

Indeed... that's why one puts the stuff one doesn't 'need' in the
    panniers and top box ;-)

  6. I'm sure that Carol would understand that, if I explained it very very
    carefully... then again...

  8. I guess the "dicky brake" is for when you've injured both your right foot
    and left thumb?

    Well, on my K (naked 75, so a bit lighter than a 100RT), I currently run ME33
front and ME55 rear, my preferred shoes. They don't, however, last me much
    beyond 12kkm.

    Other's I've tried were:

    - Avon AM21/22, precision-carved out of the finest hardwood and lasting 35kkm.
Even so, given that mileage, grip wasn't too bad for the first 2/3rd of that.
Invited restrained riding later on, especially in the wet (of which we have a
lot). I did a lot of motorway around that time, so they weren't too bad, but I'm
    not getting another pair again.

    - BT45. Very OK at first, but started feeling squirrely after 5-7kkm. No signs
of cupping or other strange wear patterns, so my best guess is that it had to do
with the dual compound wearing off. Threw them out at 15kkm.

    - ME330/550. Supposedly an improved version of the ME33/55 pair, but I found
them to be a little stiff, and what other improvemens there may have been, I
didn't really notice. Lasted 15kkm, but I got that out of the first pair of
    33/55 I ran, too.
