    Gidday

With summer approaching I am trying to decide what to purchase to
replace my Draggin Jeans Jacket which I sold because it was too hot.
Cooler than the leather but still far too hot.

Saw one of their woven Kevlar jumpers on their website. They are like
a sloppy joe and available in yellow or black. Look good but seem
pretty pricey at $299. Has anyone tried one or do you have any other
    suggestions.

They appeal to me as you could wear one under an ordinary shirt or denim
jacket and still have protection from gravel rash.

    Cheers

Ah, well, yes.....can you see that there is _some_ merit in owning a
motorcycle without a vast amount of fairings, most of which chennel heat
    upto the rider?

Oh! Last time I looked the "long-sleeved T-shirts" were considerably
    less than that!

    You could indeed.

I used to have the old K100RS.....in the winter time, I still miss it!

    Thanks Cameron,

Actually the K1200RS does not have that much fairing and the wind does cool
you to some extent in the summer, the problem really is when you are
stationary in the sun with a black leather jacket.

One thing that I did try was putting a tee shirt under a tap at a service
station and then putting it on wet under the jacket. Quite good but a bit
    messy.

Any idea where you saw that shirt? They are $299 on their website.

    me. I just wear a G-sting ... nothing else

its my way of getting revenge on them people in cages,
most of the time they unwind the windows fast enough
before they disgorge the contents if their stomaches

It is called the Draggin Kshirt - $189 for yellow and $249 for black (yellow
is the natural colour of Kevlar).

Also look at the range of mesh jackets now available such as Dririder
    Drimesh, Rivet Airflow etc.

That's the one....$189 for yellow, except at
    http://www.maw.com.au/cache/list-34public__0-0.html?cache=no
    it's listed at $179.55 <shrug>

I don't remember seeing a black one, and shit it must be _very_ fancy
paint to make the black so much more expensive.

Thanks Greg, I will have another look at their site. The Dririder seem to be
pretty bulky. but I have not seen the Rivet yet, I'll keep an eye out.

    Thanks again

    Cheers

A little naked there. I'd recommend one of those Summer mesh jackets from BMW, Dri-Rider or Spidi. I bought a
Spidi Summer mesh last summer and wouldn't have it any other way.

The only problem with the Draggin shirt is it will ride up your back and arms when you fall off.
