Heh. I was just thinking "Only in the IoM could you think that getting a
picture taken while you're out for a blat is a *good* thing."

Heh - I guess so. That was just backing off coming into Quarry bends -
My Blackberry GPS recorded a speed of 130 coming into that section.

On the mainland, I would assume that wouldnt be such a good thing ;)

I stopped to chat to the guys with the camera's, that one was a D1 with
a fixed 400mm pro lens on it - its just a hobby for him apparently.

He has offered to take some staged shots when the weather is a little
better, which might be interesting - Im such a tart!

Dont hate me - just come over and have a blast while you still can.

    <G> It's a little corner of Paradise.

I expect you to defend it to the last man and the last bullet.

I can't remember the dates we've been to Hartside. I think we last did
it in September. I see from his site his next shoot is in June 2007.
    Ho hum.

Maybe he got a little too close to one of his subjects...

You could always email him and see if he still does it.

I reckon the photographer was using a tinted filter, that's why the
visor looks like it's illegally tinted too.

No idea, it was a weak attempt at comedy.

Actually I've also no idea what the real law is here either. I think
it's <30% tint with a kitemark, during the day, and you're ok. Otherwise
you're probably also ok, unless you're getting nicked for something else.

I have always worn dark visors over here and chatted to numerous police
and never have they pulled me up over it.

Or the light cover - or the race exhaust.

Thats not to say its *not* illegal, they just dont seem to mind.
