  3. Don't let it be said that squeaky wheels don't get the grease... I was
at Metropolitan Spares in Silverwater the other week, and I made it a
point of checking the contents of their Hyo-section. Half a dozen
picked-over bikes lined up most of them with intact looking forks.

Had you tried phoning them before you ordered a megabuck brand-new item?

Doubt it, already been told it's all on back order tho it was 'in stock'
when I placed it. Shop wont open until Monday anyway.

Recall my 'anyone know a decent wrecker' post ? I'd kinda hoped for
    places being mentioned in there..

That's kinda like asking a computer n00b if they got a new HD added to
their case, and was it SATA IDE or PATA ?

    In other words WTF ?

A while back I need a new tubes for one of the toys , a very old toy
and none available , on speaking to a local machine shop I found an
existing tube stock could be made to fit in a lathe with some machining
, only problem was getting hard chrome when sorted and it was affordable
I am surprised no one suggested this avenue .

  14. Ahuh... this whole saga started when you claimed that you'd phoned and
emailed wreckers all up and down the country who either didn't get back
to you or told you they don't have a Hyosung USD forkleg.

It now turns out you didn't try what is just about the biggest wrecker
in the country; they have a website, FFS. They come up when you punch
"motorcycle wrecker" into the Yellow Pages.

    ****, you're a space-cadet, kid...

Think you'll find if you refer back I mentioned looking, not finding and
asking for some to enquire with. Your initial response below is more
helpful than much of the assistance I got (besides big suggesting
'findapart'. If you bother to look, you'll find that 'metropolitan
spares' does not feature in any of the first 4-5 pages of google results
for either 'motorcycle spares australia' or 'motorcycle wreckers
australia' and that a reasonable proportion of those that do are
    bullshit sites.

Oh look, from my sent .. First paragraph, sent 21/1/08, 5:20pm:

"I can't find a bloody wrecker that either has a left fork leg for a
Hyosung GT250, and / or returns calls or messages.. besides spending
about 300 less than I've been quoted and risking buying what I need off
the net from Korea .. after this length of time progress on even FINDING
the bits I need is roughly zero. "

Now thanks again but before you start abusing people, *get your fucking
facts right*. This is usenet after all and we have standard in here.. At
no time have I claimed to contact wreckers all around the country.

  20. Guess that'll teach people to credit you with being able to use either
    Google or Yellow Pages unaided...
Google search term "Motorcycle wreckers", toggle "Pages from Australia"
to "ON"... Metropolitan Spares' homepage is the very first hit returned.
You're right, of course. When I read,
    need >> is roughly zero.

I foolishly read that as saying you'd actually dug up the contact
details of some wreckers, tried them and had them tell you they don't
have the parts you need in stock.
**** off, idiot. If you get on my nerves with your stupid questions,
your petulance and your top-posting, I reserve the right to tell you so.
