Speed trap on London Bridge. Jeez, that's six points in ten days. Best
slow down a bit (not that I can slow down much more as I was on the
    GN250).

Telling Plod you can't produce your licence because it's at Swansea
for three speeding points to be added to it raises some eyebrows, too.
    Luckily I had a photocopy.

    Hohum.

Do you reckon you'll reach the weekend without a ban?

Hohum indeed. A couple of years back, my mum managed to get done twice
in about 20 miles, once by Leics, once by Derbyshire. Luckily,
Derbyshire offered her a speed awareness course.

Karma, innit. All those times you've blithely razzed past the
front-facing cameras while flipping them the finger - they're coming
    home to roost.
Indeed. Take it on the chin and do not give abuse, do not go to court
to fight it and therefore do not collect the 115,000 other similar
offences to be taken into consideration.

Good question. Oh well, I'll let rip in France, because "it doesn't
    count in foreign".

How long do points stay on your licence? Three, and wiped off after
four, isn't that it? Only it's two dceades since I had any...

    Doh

I take the precaution of using a river crossing that has average speed
    cameras.

On a slightly different note, I insured the K5 in Feb through Autonet
via the comparison website bikeinsurer.tv. Bikeinsurer asked for
claims/convictions in the last 3 years. Your details then get
pre-populated on Autonet when you click through. So I buy the policy
then 7 days later get a letter saying they want another £40 on top of
the £130 premium for an accident 5 years ago. Lots of time on hold to
their 0870 number resulted in me telling them to shove it purely out of
    stubborn principal.

Tog, that's why it is *always* worth trying to twist and turn and beat the
    system. IMHO of course.
One gnarly copper disgruntled with your London riding habits now and you get
a year in the Sin Bin. Assuming it is still 6 for Careless.

On for four years and points does not equal a conviction.

Any ins co I've ever dealt with asks the standard question "Any
accidents, claims or convictions in the last x years" for which the
    latter definitely included points.

So if you got 3 points for either speeding or perhaps an illegal tyre
you wouldn't declare this when asked the above question?

So if you're asked to declare all convictions in the last 5 years you
    don't mention points?

    Riiiiight.

    same place.

ITYF if you make a claim these days, one of the things they do is call
DVLA, with you on the 'phone at the same time. If you haven't declared
any points be prepared for a % reduction in any payout. DAMHIKT.

Not unless there's a piece of information I'm unaware of about Krusty,
    since this friend was male.

Hmm, it ammounts to what a conviction means.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conviction
    http://www.google.co.uk/dictionary?aq=f&langpair=en|en&hl=en&q=conviction

If you don't go to court, are you "convicted".
