Transferring my insurance, which expires in November, from the Bandit 12
    to a 2001 ZX9R will only cost GBP44.

    I feel positively decrepit.

Just wait until the renewal though - it may make your eyes water ;-)

Nah, I've already done some research to check: should be able to get it
around GBP300, no sweat. Probably less.

Cool - I'm a bit worried as the online quotes I'm doing for mine are a bit
alarming (especially when you consider that I'll have a bike in a lower
group, one years extra NCB and the bike's only worth approx £5k) but I'm
hoping sanity will prevail when I actually renew in October .

Oh, of course, but I never trust online quotes - I've always got a
    better deal by phoning round.

dwb emerged from their own little world to say
Have you tried that ebikeinsurance? The GS riders over on ukgser.com seem
to think they are good people. We discussed them here a while back. Based
in Gibraltar but have a UK office. Main thread here:

Note: I haven't heard of anyone testing the claims dept. but they can't be
worse than some of the household names often slated in here.

I couldn't renew with them as their policy is restrcted to EU countries
and and I was about to go to Croatia. Fine for anyone that stays in the UK
or someone who makes the occasional foray into France.
