Poor form, but it seems Sleazyjet don't fly to Montpellier. Which is a
    shame.

I knew there must be a reason I didn't use them.

Arrgh I seem to have mixed up the booking systems. Must have been
Marseille or something. I'm loosing it. So who all does actually fly
    into Montpellier from the UK?

  3. Which is what a German waiter said to a bunch of American teenagers when
I was in Berlin. To my amazement they all said he was useless at which
point I had to express my surprise. And strangely it was the Iraq War
and lack of policy on climate change that were the things that were
pissing them off. They couldn't wait to see the back of him which
somewhat contrasts with the usual "God Bless America We all love Dubya"
stance of most Americans "on tour".

  8. Many dings, ohyes sirree. Never, never again will I fly with that shower
of cunts. The only good thing to come out of their existence was the
very necessary competition that forced Aer Lingus to come down in price.
As it stands, AL is now my preferred airline from/to here.

Why are you dicking around with the joke about the Irish airline?

  11. Well yes. Better than the first time.
I don't think the Americans do "right pissed off" when it comes to
politics. If they did they would have a more radical alternative than
the Democrats who are just Republicans Lite - if you look at policies
and actions in certain key areas.

    <snip>

Maybe I'm just getting used to it, but my 13 hour drive to Derby today
highlighted to me that, although French service industry staff can be
rude/ignorant/insert own word of preference, at least they are inventive
    with it.

The ticket drone at Dartford and the halfwitted motorway services staff I
encountered left me yearning for an uncaring shrug or the pitying look,
accompanied by (probably) an insult in an accent I don't understand very
well, but well enough, I seem to attract in most French shops etc...

    <snip rant>

We were over there July/August last year. We had booked a shuttle bus,
which wasn't particularly expensive. Picked us up at CDG, drove us to the
hotel, helped us with our bags. Fast, pleasant, air-conditioned. Same
    thing on the return leg.

I've just spotted (well done me) that Qantas have a 20kg allowance on
LHR-OZ flights. 1.7kg is gonna be taken up by my lid. Good job we
decided against packing our panniers instead of a case.

    AUD120 per item thereafter!

It was my idea because we were arriving near rush hour. TBF the roads
    were indeed completely grid-locked.

Paid $70 for an extra (big) case SF-LA-Dublin recently. TBH it
    doesn't seem too unreasonable.

If we'd been flying from the US, we could have 2 x 32kg each.
    All other international (ie Poms) - 1 x 20kg.

    I know, I know, I know...

I really, really should have said "**** it" and ridden a bike down.

Unfortunately, I was swayed by a certain Large Azure company's inability
    to cope with the concept.

Their accountants are currently in discussion with my accountants as it
    is.

I may well get thermonuclear on their asses soon.

That is (IMHO) borderline fraud. They *know* that's not enough on that
route, and they're going to gouge the gullible at the airport.

    Thieving cunts.

It's about time that the OFT got on the airlies'[1] collective cases.
