I've seen kids getting around on units which almost certianly go faster than
that... I'd hazard a guess at 30-40kph... looks downright scary.

Just-a-cruisin' at the speed limit. 28 kms of that is 100 km/h plus, another
17 kms is 80 or 90 zoned. The last 10 kms are 60 zoned. The first traffic
light I come to is 40 kms from home. Total of 8 lights to the office and at
least 5 of those will be green.

Im not in the city but anyway....

    From: Upper Lansdowne
    To: Taree
Distance: approx 25-30km (i dont know the exact distance to work, ill have
    to measure it tomorrow, heh)
Time: 25mins in the Commodore or approx 30mins on the bike (coz im on my
    L's)

That is about 3km of dirt road, about 20-25km of open road, about 5km of
70/80kmh speed zones and about 1km at 60/50kmh. In town i only have to go
through 2 traffic lights and 1 round about before i get to work (its an easy
    ride for a learner).
