Suzuki dipsticks

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Whinging Courier, Aug 29, 2005.

  1. Or more precisely, GS450 Suzuki dipsticks.

What is the correct way to measure the oil on these, screwed right in or
resting on the top of the filler?

    Cheers.

Fill it up with the right amount of oil in the first place, measure
either way you want and use that as a the guide forever after.

And is the norm I understand. As is checking the oil with the bike on
the centrestand (those that have them anyway).

Yep, that's always a good one when you've put three litres too much in.
