Suzuki DR125 will not start

Hi,

Yes I am a newbie, yes I am a learner, yes you can take the piss, no it's
not my bike - it's the other half's...

:>)

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this annoying problem. Wifey and I
were getting ready to go out for a ride - gear on, bikes out, house locked
up...

I start my bike and all is well. Wifey goes to start hers, it turns over
once, then nothing. dead.

Doesn't turn over, nothing from the starter motor, not a dicky bird.
Lights/indicators/horn and neutral light all work, I made sure the kill
switch was not in the kill position and tried again - silence.

So...we check the battery - all looks well there. The bike is a second hand
model but we have no manual - it's been ordered and is on it's way. The
bike has started fine before (earlier in the day as well).

Anyone have any idea what else to look for? Fuse maybe? A bit of digging
on Google came up with a question about the solenoid but not being a
mechanic or an experienced biker I have no idea what it looks like or where
it is situated.

Just a guess pull the clutch in as it may have an clutch in start switch
that normally does not kick in.The ZRX and KZ's have this problem. Failing
that what's your location and some one may be local

Thanks for everyone's help - turns out it was a dodgy connection in the
starter switch - checks made with a multimeter and then a liberal spray of
WD40 and many repeated presses of the switch cleared it. )

This particular DR125 does not have a kickstart, which is a shame, however
there is a plastic plug where the kickstart lever should go - we may
retrofit one anyway.

now we will wait for the gale force winds and the rain to subside... (
