No one rides a Suzuki around my area.Probably because of the dealership,
and mainly the service dept. The dealership is reknown for their
unfriendlyness, to say the least. But another point, is, I don't notice
too many Suzuki crusiers at rallys. Do ya'll?

    BJay,

    I ride one of Suzuki's early attempts at a 'Cruiser'. It's a 1980
GS1100L. I know how you don't like it when people call out the model by
letters and numbers, lol, so here's a few pictures if your interested:

For an older bike, it runs along pretty good. I was lucky when I found
this one, as it only had about 9,000 miles on it. The price was right too at
$1200.00. My wife says as soon as I wear it out, I can buy myself a new one,
lol. Fat chance of that ever happening, I think this old bike has more
miles left in it then I do, lol.

    Best regards,

    Vic

‘’ Nice looking ole Bike there buddy.
It looks like the first owner, must have kept it in a nice paneled,
clean , garage, like you're doing (heh hehe )!!
Your garage looks like, you can also park your vehicle in there too, of
which is an oddity. Most folks, stack stuff in their garages, and park
the vehicle out in the elelments, heh heh heh!! Ya ever notice that
    about most folks.??
I just bought a 98 VF4 Magna. My wife thinks she wants it for hers.
    We'll see.
Vic, good to read'ja. Take it easy.
PeeS) As I read and post today, I am running back and 4th,to the
stove. I'm cooking dinner, cooking italian Meat Sauce, and spagette,
    hmmmmm good.
Do you cook, my good man? Smile!!

    Vic: Thank you BJAY

Vic: The bike was in pretty good shape to begin with. It did have a bit of
oxidation on most of the aluminium parts though. I've got most of it cleaned
up, but there's still plenty to do, lol.

Vic: When I built the garage a few years ago, I built it large enough to
make 'sure' I could get all my vehicles in it, lol. The building is 24'X40'.
Behind that 'paneled' wall is a storage area, where we have a series of
shelves, to hide all the stuff we're not using. That room is no where near
as neat as the garage, lol

Vic: Sounds like a nice bike. I read where you mentioned she was taking the
motorcycle safety course. That Magna is a lot of bike BJay, hopefully your
'Honey' won't have any trouble adjusting to it. My wife won't even try to
ride one. Back in the late 60's I bought her a little 90cc 'something or
other'. I went through all the 'here's how you do it' stuff, and she gave it
a try, lol. BJay, by the time she got that little thing stopped, she had
called me every name in the book, lol. She vowed never to try and drive one
again. Some one mentioned that some people 'have it' and other's don't, when
it comes to rideing motorcycles. My wife will be the first to admit, she
    doesn't 'have it', lol.

I do most of the cooking around here. I'm retired, while my wife is still
employed. While you were fixing 'spagette', I was making meat loaf with
mashed potatos and green beans, lol. Of course, no meal is complete without
a salad, and desert, so I made a pan of brownies too, lol. I rather enjoy
cooking, it's the clean up I'm not crazy about, but the wife usally gives me
    a hand.

    Best regards,

‘‘VIC, well I 'clare! (smile). Meat Loaf, I am reknown in my
family, for cooking a good meat loaf. I grew up, loving my Mom's Meat
loaf, she always made hers to the Italian accent flavor.
I make my the old fashioned country taste. Talking about the Magna,
being a lotta Bike, well it is. But, she sits on it low. It was lowered
by her son, and it really is a lowrider, it don't look like ya ever day
Magna. It's the Bike that we (2up) recently rode back from Dallas, and
left there that morning at 38* cold ass. It is about a 175 mile ride. It
was a solo ride, meaning just she and I. I usually don't get out there,
alone. I always like one more Biker going along. regards to you2!
