Thinking of getting one, what do people think of them? What sort of
    performance could I expect?

If you are under 5'10" it will be quite a performance getting on and
    off!

Guy where I work has one on an 03 plate I think. Nice bike though, he
had a Thundercat previously and much prefers the riding position of the
    strom.

Ah, so it's Dan that you fancy, is it?

Have you or Wessie been to an *OSM? I don't recall meeting either of
you? and from what I'm told I wouldn't forget you Paul.

  8. I have been *OSMs but not to any of the recent ones. I know I haven't
    met you.

Not another bloody quote about me being unforgettable. I get that
wretched phrase "oh, I've heard a lot about you" or the alternative "oh,
I've definitely know your name" at work all the time.

I was talking with a colleague on our team today and she gets the same.
Her theory is that we are jointly used as some form of "threat" within
our contractor's organisation. Draw your own conclusion as to whether
that's a good or bad thing.

  9. You make these comments deliberately don't you?

That would be Wessie and you though.

  10. Wessie's Elijah Wood fantasies (and to be fair if Orlando was busy
    Elijah would do)
Did said hobbit's bike blow up on the way back from the BOSM?

Well, that was my experience of it. Never having been on a trailie
style bike before, I found it tall and it had a high CofG. I'm 5'10".

This hobbit you speak of - do they wear platform boots?

  14. Can I swap it for a volume control for the world please. It's all a
    little loud.

If you fancy him then you'll fancy dwb. When I met dwb in Sedan he
    reminded me of said hobbit.

Totty is totty is totty. Pretty boys are all very well for leering at
but I need the spark of intellect.
No, you'd never do anything like that. It would be wrong. Where is he
    anyway?

I've got one (simply due to the fact with my gammy leg I can ride it).

I've had a TRE (timing retard eliminator) fitted and thats made it a
lot more fun. Got new tyres to go on it, 4.5k from the rear when I
    bought it s/h.

I like it, its chuckable, handles well for the style of bike it is,
goes like stink from 0 to 110, but gives up at 130 or so. Above 110 the
bars shake too much, so forget it for a high speed bike.

Comfy over distances, 180 mile tank range, and IMO looks nice.
