So the Norton has departed with WUN and Pip - good to meet you guys!

And the Z1000 has occupied the space in the garage.

    Sweet.

Heh. Sorted that when I got home (no audience, no performance anxiety).

I have started it *three times* now.

By god, it makes a lovely noise.

Doesn't it just. Worth everything just to hear that - on the road and
accelerating it sounds like a Lancaster bomber.

I don't know if this info is of any use to you WUN, but I was recently
offered a Norton Commando in boxes, which I turned down coz it doesn't
    really interest me.

I can't even recall if the guy wanted anything for it, but if it was any use
to you, I could always ask him, coz it won't have gone anywhere.

It interests me. I could probably get it on the road, running, quicker
    than WUN gets his.

WUN's is running and MOT excepted, which should be a mere bagatelle,
    roadworthy. So pfffft!!!!!

It's obviously settled in nicely. It's already marked its territory...

They do that, sir. Partly cos the primary case is held on by one
central nut and the gear box cover also tends to weep (in sympathy
with the owner?). Life will become a routine of going around the
    fasteners checking and rechecking....
