SYD: More bikes wanted for TV

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Zebee Johnstone, Sep 28, 2006.

  1. The good news is you get to keep your clothes on.

The bad news is you have to get up early!

EVENT: (1) Weather cross on Sunrise Show ATN 7

WHEN: 7am first cross, with others until 9am

WHERE: Blues Point Park, end of Blues Point Road - from North Sydney
    down to the Blues Point

WHY: "Riders for Health" - British based organisation, raising money
for sustainable health delivery in Africa, utilising motorcycles
and a maintenance & training system to keep the bikes on the road.
Motorcycles can go where trucks and 4wd's cannot, are cheap to operate
and easily maintained in remote locations.

The idea is to raise money and extract cheap deals for bikes and parts
from the makers to supply the various projects with machines and training.
Volunteers from Britain provide training to the projects. See details
    here http://www.highwaytohealth.com.au/

    Get your mug on TV,

Hmmm, good, bikes on TV doing good

    EVENT (2) Round Australia Departure

SATURDAY, the Domain - Riders leave for the fund raising ride around
    Australia

    http://www.highwaytohealth.com.au/daily_run_060922_files/frame.htm

Albion Park, Kangaroo Valley (lunch) via Berry, then via Moss Vale to
the Hume and off south for a lap.

Tag along for the run. All welcome.
