I would've been a starter Pete, but you're a week late getting back.

Mind you, I did get to 'soak' up a bit of Ozzy colcha in the Irish pub in
Parramatta. That's the one where the garden bar over looks the motorbike
shop and you get to watch the local hoons test riding.

Those work trips are too short. I might just book ahead next time.

  5. Aw bugger, Cam. Have to make it a working holiday next time!

The ones who have just had new tyres fitted are good value too!

A MOTORCYCLIST was killed today after crashing during
    a race meeting
    about 80km north of Melbourne.

The 35-year-old was competing in a 250cc event when
    he lost control of his
motorcycle, was thrown over the handle bars and then
    struck by other riders in
    the race, police said.

The accident occurred at the State Motorcycle Complex
    on the Broadford
Flowerdale Road about 10.45am (AEDT) today.

Two other riders, a man aged 54 and a man aged 33,
    were also injured in the
incident when they came off their motorcycles.

Police said the two men suffered serious but not
    life-threatening injuries.

    The name of the dead
    man has not been released.

    Bugga.

While Pete might not have been available last week, I could certainly
    have showed up.

  11. Well, that was an interesting netride. At least I got to ride on the Harley
    breakdown ute!

  12. There's no flies on you, Clem! Michael(?) suffered a discarded pop rivet
shaft to the rear (tyre) so he and CrazyCam got to play mechanics (after we
got overtaken by a kid on a pushy a few times) while I had lunch at Peats
Ridge Servo. Then they got to have a longer lunch while I took the wheel in
search of the only place that stocks 15" tubes on the Central Coast (thank
you Woody's). At least I had a decent netride and got sunburnt!

And we found out those mini forklift thingos make great bike stands
while some hoon drives around for hours with your rear tyre.

Wasn't too bad of a day, made me feel like a beemer rider.. sitting
around drinking coffee all day with my bike parked off somewhere to the
    side.

Pallet trucks or pallet jacks, I think they are called, and they are
    pretty good for that, yup.
    That's not nice.... :)

I think that our basic problem is that we didn't have a BMW rider along
    with us.

A _real_ BMW rider would have had an airpump, tyre levers, and a
portable vulcanising thingy all packed on one of the panniers, with the
bar fridge, cocktail cabinet and coffee making gear in the other side.

I answered the phone many times to
    "where's my crank graham"
to which my response was generally,
" I'm clocked on to your job now so talk for as long as you want richard"

Richard gave up riding on the road after his housemate david brown , who was
    also
an aus.moto guy was killed while riding to the local shops on the 400 that
Richard used to race before he got the 250

The cocktail cabinet is limited to a half bottle of Bourbon, for medicinal
    purposes only.
