Thanks for putting EoSM together this year, Loz.

Thanks to Mu and the rest of the team at the Black Horse, the food was
very, very good and represented excellent value for money.

Thanks to Monz for the sit on his Gixxer, it's a shame that I couldn't
even fit on it, so my dreams of ever owning one are shattered.

    TOG's Trophy, dwb's V-Strom and Andy's(? Stephs other half) CBR1000
are contenders, though. RichardA's(? Sorry, I can't remember your
handle) Divvy Nine looked quite fun, but I'd never get away with a
screen that low. Thanks everyone for letting me have sit and play
    with your equipment.

Thanks for allowing me to ride the CBR1000, it was great fun. I had a
go on WC's CBRat1000 @ BoSM but that was only a few weeks after
passing my test and I don't feel that I was all that hooked on bikes
back then. Now I appreciate how fun it can be, and have a better
understanding of how to use and deliver all of that power. An old
CBR1000 may be on the cards for me over the next year or two, even
though it may be a bit small.

If cash is more fluid then I may consider a V-Strom. There's
something about dwb's V-Strom that made it feel just right.

Her mobile costs 90 quid a month, apparently. Glad I'm not paying for
it. I haven't seen her home phone bill, but it'll be just as bad.

I would have asked for a go, but you'd stuffed it full of clothing. I
had a good sit on it, though. I'd have to sit on the pillion seat to
    get to the foot rests.

I have to say that once a proper exhaust[1] had been fitted to the ex-
Dick Dastardly ZX-9R I owned, it was the sweetest and fastest one I have
ever ridden[2]. Smooth power and torque all the way up to 7K and then
all hell broke loose. Dick did a very good job of sorting the top end on
    that motor.

[1] Not the Scorpion race can it had when I bought it. I fitted a Quill
    T3 instead.
[2] I saw just under 190 on the clock and it pulled strongly all the way
    up there.

Strangely enough, on the way home I started off at a very sedate pace, which
gradually increased as I got closer to Bicester.

On the road between Aynho and Baynards Green I had the fucker WFO in 3rd
    overtaking a stream of cars.

As I was halfway past, the thought entered my head....

"By ****, this does go quite nicely when you cane the tits off it"

I arrived home grinning maniacally. I must cane off it's tits on a more
    regular basis.

I am intrigued to know what DD did to his, as most Zephyr folk I know reckon
there is basically **** all that can be done to 'em to increase their
    performance.

I have been led to believe that by the time it got as far a being installed
in the Zephyr, it was as tuned as it possibly could be.

Please enlighten me, at least It'll make me appear knowledgeable to the
    Zephyr Zone peeps.
