Well reading the shit in the blurb, it's gonna be crap. OTOH I assume
it passes the relevant safety standards....

I think that's an assumption based more on optimism than fact. I'd
have thought they'd be pretty up-front about being approved for use if
they were, and stating that the visor is EC-whatever compliant just
makes me feel that the rest of the lid possibly isn't.

One of my friends has a Caberg and is very happy with it.

Caveat: he rides a 125cc Honda Varadero and is about 18 stones so his
perception of what is good might differ considerably from yours.

Mate with a 'busa has one. He has no problems with it. Sun visors are the
    dogs.

Yes, AIUI it's legal to sell it as a helmet, and I *think* the ACU gold
means you can track day or race in it.

Unless they _are_ approved, but just find out first.

I got one when I returned to 2 wheels this year and discovered that my Shoei
was 16 years old. Full face, anti-fog visor, internal sun visor so you can
look like Buzz Aldrin, breath deflector and neck curtain. I like it,
although it's thermoplastic rather than GRP or whatever the better ones are
made of, and it is definitely the cheaper end of the market. 99 quid, and
has all the stickers - seems quite good value.

Cheap, have drop down internal visors - those are the good points. To
balance it - Interior materials are poor quality and they get slack on
    your head very quickly.

    Ace says...
Many flip-front helmets are still only tested as open face helmets with
no protection offered by the chinbar. If you see a P in the ECE22-05
markings then the chinbar is protective. Any other letter, such as J,
    then it's not.

KBC flip fronts do not have a protective chinbar, nor do the Roof
    Boxers.

He has no idea what a good helmet is then, cos Cabergs are generally
regarded in the trade as one of the poorer quality ones.
