Went up today to see our valiant boys (and girls) doing their thing.

Bloody top entertainment it was too, shame I had to leave prior to the end,
but all seemed to be hanging together, with Champ on his second stint in the
    rider's seat.

Really good vibe too, I was made to feel really welcome. It was more like a
bunch of mates having fun, but well organised at the same time IYSWIM. No
evidence of any big egos either, which is always a rare bonus in competetive
    situations.

Hope it all finishes well (they were 4th in class when I left).

Thanks to all involved, only sorry the brolly dolly didn't accompany me as
    originally planned.

Yeah, I pushed off early too so as to enjoy the nice weather for the
ride home - I must've left at a similar time. It was nice to see the
faces, and a couple of new ones, too.

I made the mistake of not filling up when I had the chance early on
the way home - I figured I could find petrol later. Big mistake.

At 90 miles I was keeping an eye out for petrol stations. At 102 miles
the yellow light started flashing. At 112 miles as I hit the A1 I
decided to divert into Stamford because I didn't know how far down the
A1 the next service station was.

After about half an hour of joining various traffic-light queues in my
quest for petrol, I decided enough was enough and headed back out
towards the A1. At this point the yellow light went on continuous, so
I turned back and had to grit my teeth and do the unthinkable: I asked
    for directions.

Towards the end my wrists were aching and my left forearm was giving
me serious gyp whenever I had to pull in the clutch.

For all that, a nice ride.

Well a naked photo of Champ's hardly a rarity, is it?
