    Anyone got/had one?
Are they the same 90hp donk as the others or is there a hi-po version?
Are the half-fairing models different or can you pull the lower off the
    full-fairing?
    Is there a half-faired 1150?
Do they do tricks? (Are the seats, 'bars, screens adjustable?).
What size wheels & tyres do they have?

Don't do it Clem, you will never go back to the dark side.

Seriously if you want an intro at the dealer give me a call and I will set
    up some rides.

No but the R1100S is similar
The hi-po version is the 1100S, the GS's have more torque and less power.
The 1/2 fairing looks so much better (in my humble opinion)
Yes, Yes & Yes & heated grips & ABS on some
    17 inch various widths

Drop over on the weekend and you can have a run on the S

  4. The full faired ones and half faired ones dont share a lot of bodywork, plus
full-faired ones have a nasty habit of catching fire/ melting fairings if
idled lots in traffic (heard of more than a few occasions).
BUzzzz, the rear on an R1100RS is an 18", front is 120/70-17 like lots of
bikes, rear is 160/60-18 (not a great deal of choices), the 1150RS might be
    a 17, but i dounbt it.

    BUzzzzzz

    Rear wheel of a R1150RS is a 17 * 5 inch rim with a 170/60 R17 as it has the
same rim as a R1100S, I use a 160 rear on my S as is speeds up the turn in.

    Faark!!
I just thought they were fugly!
    ~
Erk; that's the same bloody size my Triumph had.
Still; BMWs are mix-and-match so I'm sure there'll be something
interchangeable if it shits me that much.

    Not yet thanks, John.
I would like a short run but I don't like to try until I'm ready to buy
'cause I hate falling in love with a bike and then having to ride my old
    one home again!!
(I sat on Smee's tractor at Cowes and it wasn't as harsh/sporty as I'd
feared and I really would like those extra horses so maybe the "S" is still
    on the shopping list).
    Cheers ..... Clem

We could take both BM's for an overnight run to Tenterfeild, stay at the
Saddler and have a few cold one's and ride back on Sunday morning swapping
every 100 k's or so you would get to know the R and I series.

Will Natalie let me drive her to school if I buy one?
Or will she make me drop her off around the corner like
    on my crappy XJ900?

Naah; she's happy to go on the XJ now!
She's turned into a vampire and hates getting up in the morning now so
going on the XJ instead of the train gives her an extra hour's sleep.
