Well, it's a nice point to make.

In our case, he was an excellent teacher and very well-regarded. Got
arrested and prosecuted for posessing kiddy porn. Which was nice.

You haven't got into the zone Loz and I did then, which was feeling that
to justify it one should red line it 1st to 4th at the very least. It
put the shits up him and the shits up my licence after that veeeery long
chase through the Oirish Free State.

Those dry weights are a tad misleading but TBF I was thinking in
comparison to a 10R or Gixxer Thou.

Hardly a fair comparison. Hyper-tourer compared to a superbike.

Now if you compared the S1000RR to the GSXR et al, then that'd be
    fair.

If he has a bad back the last thing he needs is a half ton topheavy
    monstrosity.

I think that little trundle down to Dover a few weeks ago has squashed
any enthusiasm I might have for sustained high-speed shenanigans.

Nailing it to the redline in 4th is one thing. Nailing it to the redline
in 4th and 5th and holding it there for 65 miles.... I kinda hope I've
got that out of my system.

HTF do you remember that? I can't recall any of my teachers from that
age, let alone if they were nice people or not.

Did you go to the same school from 11 to 16/18?

I did. Over that sort of time you develop quite significant relationships
with teachers. I remember the good ones and the really shit ones. When I
was doing my A levels I probably saw more of my maths teacher than I did my
father. I certainly socialised more with him as he drove the minibus on our
regular trips to see bands at Colston Hall in Bristol.

Which would be well within budget. I wonder how the riding position
compares to K1200S? Only I found the K feel very like the Sprint in
terms of pegs / seat /bars relationship (certainly ddidn't feel to
    squashed up / canted forward).

In fairness, I don't think crn's is senile.

    Just stupid.

It is surprisingly comfy. Add some Gilles variobars and a high screen
and it would be as least as practical as a 'Bird.
