What is the norm for test riding bikes when buying used in the bay area?

I am selling a bike soon, and am not sure if I want to allow test rides.
Any thoughts? For the last bike I bought, I was given a 15 minute test
ride once the money was exchanged. This seemed to work well.

  2. Just remember that when a user test rides, they are using YOUR insurance.
In the event of a "test rider" fault accident, it is your insurance that
will cover the damage, and your insurance that will go up. If they have
"portable" insurance (I have State Farm, and they cover me on any vehicle I
ride/drive) their insurance will only come into play when yours is
exhausted, e.g. if there is a 20K claim and your insurance covers 15K, their
insurance will be hit for the other 5K.

Your insurance company will expect you to do "due diligence" when loaning
your bike - e.g. making sure the rider is licensed, sober, physically able
(long enough legs and strong enough to control the bike) and has the gear
    required by law.
