    That's what a watchmaker would tell you. Replacing the dial is a
    ten-minute job.
    Of course, if it's an unobtainable part it would have to be repainted
    which would take some time.

    While we're on the subject, does anyone know where to get long rubber straps
    so a waterproof watch can be worn over a couple of layers of neoprene?

    I've got a lovely Tissot that was bequeaved to my by my late mother-in
    -law, every time I look at it I remember her. Memories, priceless...
