to whoever it was in my group on the MX track at Wildtracks who was
actually slower than me. You've done my ego no end of good.

As an aside, today I learned I need to spend some time and money on MX
stuff: my kit is getting a bit ropey. I also need to refurb my
footpegs: the serrations have worn to the point where my feet kept
slipping off the pegs. I did see some trick alloy ones with spiked
inserts at the mobile shop, but not at 75 quid, TYVM.

All in all, a good, if brief, outing. Brief because I'm unfit[1] and
I'd promised Herself that I'd be back by two PM.

Track was in excellent condition but as usual got a bit choppy later.

[1] to the extent that I had a huge hamstring cramp, luckily just 100m
from the exit: I spent the last jump and corner trundling round,
shaking my left leg and shouting: "**** Oww oooh ow FUUCK" into my
crash helmet).
