    .... Ford, that is.
I discovered yesterday that you need a 15mm octagonal socket
to remove the spare wheel from a Transit van.
Any idea where to buy one?

    1. The Transit's toolkit: usually found under the driver's seat.

    2. The 'other' end of the wheelbrace.

    3. A Ford dealer.

Have you tried the supplied wheel brace?

    1. Anything with an 18mm square hole will also fit.

In an old van that lost its toolkit, in the dark ...
As you need to open the door to release the spare wheel,
it's hardly an added security feature to use an octagonal
rather than a hex headed bolt.

Christ, I thought 18mm sounded tight - but 15mm would definitely be a
    bit of a tight fit.

I may be wrong but if it's a 15mm AF octagon then a 15mm square hole would
fit over the top. Obviously if it's 15mm across the points then the square
    will be even smaller.
