    ....to all those who offered advice on textile jacket purchase.

    After trying H&G stuff found the Voyager Gore thing didn't fit properly
    so ended up with a Bering jacket and trews combo. They look and feel
    well made though I haven't actually tried them on the bike what with it
    being cold and wet out...

    My Bering is excellent in foul weather. Stands up reasonably well to
    being thrown against armco. Which is a sort of bonus.

    Well since I didn't actually buy an H&G jacket it was more the generic
    textile jacket info that was useful. I suppose that could've been
    bollocks though.

    I got a Bering in August - it's the first jacket I've owned in years
    where I can do the collar up.

    It's windproof, waterproof, light, and warm.

    Top value for £95.
