Right, now I can get a life.

(Introduced it to work yesterday: productivity ceased)

vis the Xmas tree lights one: sent it to a few colleagues in the
    office.

When one bloke was at lunch, an enterprising soul completed it in 243
seconds, took a screenshot, used "paint" to remove the "2" and left a
    print on his neighbour's desk.

Said luncheon partaker then stayed until eight-thirty in the evening
trying to beat 43 seconds, missing the whole afternoon in the pub that
    everyone else was enjoying.

I can be a right little tinker at times.

  6. Never mind - you provided entertainment for countless thousands of
people for several hours and contributed to the decline of Britain as a
    Global Power as output tumbled.

    Howitzers rock.

  17. It isn't.
Maybe you need a new mouse?
When you're making a ball - if it touches another one of your balls,
(ooer) that's it, finished, start making another one.
You realise the amount of ball you can make is rationed right?
and that you only have so many "lives"....?

The speed the ball grows increases as the ball expands.
That happened to me the first few attempts, then it 'clicked'. You
have a limited number of lives and a limited number of balls you can
create - these are shown top left, just outside the game frame.
You're not making big enough balls (not covering sufficient area with
each one), so each new one you make will cost you a life - then you're
    running out of lives.

I have found A Method. I do everything by Method, see - and I've
    found one for this application.

You position your cursor in the upper left(1) corner, and wait,
patiently, for an opportunity - when the nasty bouncers are looking
the other way. Then you whip your growing ball out and hold it for as
long as you dare. Once you've released your 'click', then your grown
ball is solid and safe, and the nasty bouncers bounce off it.

If you slide your mouse gently to the right as you release, you will
send your ball off down to the right, pushing the bouncers with it.
This gives you free space for the next ball, which you need to grow
immediately into the space vacated by the first one. Repeat again and
again, and your balls will settle along the bottom of the frame,
    filling it.

Before you know it, you'll have the frame half-filled and you're well
on the way. If you get harassed by bouncers, go fill in some spaces
between the larger balls where the bouncers can't get at you. Don't
worry about the time, that only counts for the bonus.

This method should get you to level 15 before you know where you are.
I found it a rather serene experience, although I feel vaguely dirty
having been playing with Simian's balls for an hour or so.

    1. Not the top right, because if you trap and squish a bouncer, this
is where they come back on - right behind you.

I decided I ought to have a go. Thanks to The Pip Technique, I got to
level 25 on the first go!
It is, and I don't usually bother with these things. Cane's a right
fucker for posting the link in the first place.
