They've been calling constantly for the last few days now, trying to
help me clear my debts for £295.

They're also using a number that I've traced to a real address in
Bradford, showing as a car dealersip. I've also found an FSA article
revoking their right to trade in financial services.

Should I be calling the plod?

True, although enough people reporting might get something done. I might
see if they try again, since I told him to remove my details from their
    list.

I don't mind making it public:

Carnation Ltd, Mill Lane, Bradford, BD5 0HF

The number they're calling from is 01274 202020

Well, they are a bunch of cunts anyway & of very dubious origins. I
won't go into too much detail, but there are very strong rumours.

I just rang it & got an Asian bloke, Carnation is run by Asian bloke.

    Something very odd there.

If you want to play, ask them to send you an application form in the
post to make sure you get their correct address to return it to. Then
buy a big pack of cheapo envelopes, run 'em through the printer to put
their address on, then stick a few in the post every few days. Add a
few old phone directories wrapped in brown paper to up the costs. It
won't stop the calls, but should piss them off a bit.

There's an outfit from Liverpool http://www.chums.co.uk
that my Mum had bought from.

Since her death two years ago they've continued to send regular brochures.
I've returned their brochures marked "recipient deceased", written to them
and'phoned them on numerous occasions asking for them to stop sending the
brochures as it's a little upsetting each month.

Anyway this month I finally had enough. Put three largish stones into a
jiffy bag along with their latest brochure and a scribbled note to say if
they continue I'll up the size of the stones and repeat, and popped in the
post box with of course no stamp on it. Hopefully this will get the desired
    result!

I used 3 x 6"x3"x0.5" stones so they were nice and flat in the jiffy bag :)
