I showed TOG our interesting Paddock Motard Bar. And he gave me a talk that
helped understand what UKRM is capable of.

I'll just say that one of the most used words was "Bonwick".

He always does that. He even went so far as to make accusations in the
press but I just let him get on with it.

  7. Domenec was keen to understand why you were the first target for blame
    for the HMS Astute incident....

He also wanted to know why you were planning this NordKapp thing. I'll
say now that he understood the whole trip and what it entailed - he just
couldn't believe that ahyone would be that suicidal.

Even I can't see how I got the blame for the RN letting women onboard
    submarines.
It's Alex sorting this one out and I'm not going to take the blame for
    anything that happens.

Get yourself motivated and go. It's one of *the* biking trips that you
should do if you ever get the chance.

It's a shame that nobody from here is going next year but there's
still time for some of them to grow a pair of bollocks and get
    organised.

From southern europe on a scooter should be a doddle in comparison.

On second thought, that's 800km (3km from home to the ferry don't count ;)
but there is some sort of Narbonne-Frankfurt am Main SNCD moto-train. That
is 250+train+426. That sounds very "vespabile", plus the added bonus of
remembering the good old times in Frankfurt and friends in Nürnberg :)

Hmmm... should try spiked Vespa in some Pyrenean snowmobile racetrack this
    winter.

Where can the spikes be sourced? I mean, those that can be inserted into
    normal tyres?

We usually stop about 100k on from Frankfurt at a place called
Randersacker which leaves an easy ride through to the rally site.
I don't know where you'd get them in Spain but we can get them for you
from here if you're struggling though you really shouldn't need them
if you avoided high passes because we've never bothered for the
    Elefant.

A quick google suggests that Barcelona to the Elefant is 1650 km. From London,
    it's a mere 1260km.
