That'll do.

I had the pins removed from my mangled finger and though it's still
swollen (1) the first thing I did when I got home was try on various
pairs of gloves to see if I need to blow money getting any of them
altered.

Summer gloves - ok.
Heated gloves - ok.
Pathans - ok.

That'll do for me.

I still need to pull the finger of the gloves over the joint rather
than just slipping the gloves on like anybody else would do but they
fit and that's what matters.

(1) I asked the surgeon how long it would take for the swelling to go
and he said months. Well that's something to look forward to.

 

Hmmm serious business. So is that you confined to "management"

 

Assuming you mean work, I've been confined to watching rather than
doing for a couple of years and I still find it boring. I see a lot
more of the financial side of the company these days but all that does
is make me think I'm grossly underpaid.

 

But once it is finally healed you could get the hands dirty again?

 

I'm not convinced that I want to build nuclear submarines for the
cheese eating surrender monkeys so a career change might be in the not
too distant future.

 

But think of the great reputation French engineering has "Voxan, built
like the Millau Bridge". Oh hang on...
