"Just calling about your Guzzi heads; I've had them apart and both the
exhaust valves are slightly bent - did you know that?"

"Oh, and the faces need machining"

"Do you want me to carry on?"

Just spoke to Motomecca about the replacement valves:

"Have you been thrashing it by any chance?"

I have a rather interestingly shaped exhaust valve from my Spada as a desk
ornament. And yes, I too thrash it a bit.
Oh, and I don't have a spare rear m/cyl cap unfortunately.

OK then what do you suggest?

You have a budget of £3k and it needs to be cheap, fast, handle well,
    good looking and interesting.

Not all that fast, certainly slower than a ZRX (also in budget).

    lots of stuff's in budget - I can't see Simon on a race-rep, a muscle
bike's definitely his style. Sure, the ZRX would fit the bill too.

    oops, too late.

Seriously though, 3K's enough to buy into any class of bike you fancy.

...but they're either ugly, boring or have certain connotations.

Triumph Speed Triple perhaps but they're as common as muck.

you'd be looking at a 955i Triple for that money, and IMO, they're
    seriously ugly.
