Apparently a short in a wire to some thermal fan...may have been caused by
the loose terminal connection on the battery

Anyway will pick it up tomorrow as I am off to work ( so tempted to take a
    sickie )

Well picked it up and now off for a nice ride. Problem was a short in the
Thermal Fan and everything seems ok now. Maybe caused by the battery
terminal and maybe a spring washer may be the way to go ...anyway he will be
checking for this prob on other bikes

Anyway hoping no more Harleys with the bike

Will_S ( who regrets going to work yesterday and anyday....I need to win
    lotto badly )

Great town, built for motorcyclist, a hairpin hillclimb right in the
    middle of town.

  6. What a great little town :)

Though, I'm a little biased being born and breed there :p
(also having parents down there make it a even better excuse to get
down there .... and the free accomodation that comes with it ;-))

A fantastic town! You get ocean views from just about everywhere in town
(except, ironically, the beachfront street!) I loved every second I was
there, and as soon as I win Lotto I'm going to run away and live there
    forever.

I had a little one-bedroom apartment - check it out (although the pics on
the website just don't do it justice):
    http://www.stayz.com.au/24054

Was able to park the bike on the front deck and I watched the sun come up
    over the sea each morning.

The weather was magic. Had a nice ride down via the Clyde on Saturday in
cloudy weather, then in brilliant Sunday sunshine I went to Pambula and up
the Mt Darragh Rd to Wyndham & Bombala, then came back down via the Imlay Rd
    and up the coast again.

Spent some of Monday wandering around the town on foot, and the rest with
the laptop. Have done about 13000 words of a new literary masterpiece
    <snigger>...

My mobile phone was utterly useless unless I stood on the top of the hill
near the cop shop, or in the Memorial garden right up on the headland...
    time stood still.....

And today I reluctantly came home. Was a lovely ride up Brown Mountain, but
it got bloody cold after that, and I was like an icicle by the time I got
    home.

Will, it seems a bit of instant karma has happened (how, like, COSMIC!) - my
bike's been playing up. The front end felt funny all weekend - just didn't
handle the way it usually does. This morning the bloody thing took forever
to start, and this arv I discovered an oil leak. Stop laughing, you evil so
    and so!

Fortunately it's booked in for a service and some TLC on Friday.

I never laugh at a lady that has her dress wrapped around her head :)

Never been to Tathra...been close but may have to visit it some day.

Anyway in 7 days and 18 hours I will be on my way to the Gold
Coast........and the following 7 days my body will be made to suffer

  9. Funny, time seems to stands still there all the time ;-) My old mobile
phone used to work great but when I "upgraded" I nolonger get
    reception there.
Yeah, I've been caught out with the wrong jacket and gloves heading
back to canberra. Just got past Brown Mountain at dusk and the
    temperature plummeted ....
I think it might be time I visit the folks again :)

Great time of year to do it! (Well, that depends where you normally live, I
suppose - it was a lovely break from the Canberra cold, but I imagine you'd
freeze your bits off if you usually lived in, say, Brisvegas...) I found it
truly inspirational. I really envy you your "connections" there! I'm going
to have to save like mad (or do bad things to the credit card) every time I
get the uncontrollable urge for a "Tathra fix".
