The 8th annual, Boo Charity deal is this saturday october 22.
There's gonna be around 11 Bikes of us going.
The charity started when some Bikers kid got burned, I think that's how
    it started.
Ya know Bikers, it dont take much of an excuse to gather, and have fun
    and games.
6 of the 11 Bikes going is my family, 1 Daughter riding her 600Shadow,
her gal friend Carol riding her 600, one soNlaw,& Carols husband JR,
riding solo, our other Daughter and Keith from Forney, riding 2up, me
and honey riding 2up,& ole Skunk, riding his new 1100Shadow solo.
Sometime tomorrow afternoon, Angie/Keith, me and Honey, will leave
Jefferson, to ride back to Forney with them, and ride back Home, Monday
from Mesquite area. And it's supoose to be Cool'ish Monday, High 72*,
20% chance of rain. But the way I look at that is: It Is
a 80% chance it won't rain. (right, heh he he) BJay

Sounds like a good time BJay. Ride safe, and have a good time. It sounds
like your weather is starting to become perfect for riding. Up here this
morning it was about 31 drgrees, and only going to reach a high of about 55
degrees this afternoon. I had to run to the hospital for blood work this
morning, and took the bike. It was a bit brisk, but refreshing. I wouldn't
want to have to travel any distance dressed the way I was dressed this
morning, but for the five or six miles over there, it was ok.

Have a great weekend BJay, I want to hear all about your ride when you
    come back.

    Best regards,

    Vic

‘‘Bjay, enjoy the ride and tell us all about it when you get
    back.’’
    (Don)

‘‘Well Don, we did enjoy it. I imagine there were around a
1,000 bikers at the little town of Jefferson. The weather was just
grand. Saturday! Afterwards, Honey and I followed our daughter and her
husband out to the Dallas area, about 150 miles west, at Forney, Sat
    afternoon.
The next day, Sunday, the weather really changed. It got cloudy,
windy and a lot colder. This morning, Monday, we get up and it is cold.
It's about 38*, Now, 38* is cold for an October day in Texas, my friend.
Well sir, they all go to work, and Honey and I, put on everything we have
packed on the bike, leather, face mask, and whatever, and by 830am, we
start our ride home, about 175 miles, east. I don't run too fast for the
first 50 miles, about 55mph. we stop, eat, and refuel. and by 10:00am,
it is some bit warmer, but atleast no more cross wind, nor threat of
    showers.
Now, we are getting use to it, and we haul ass, averaging 75mph, and
arrive safe and sound.@ 12:00 noon.. It was a fun and enduring ride, and
my Honey can share with her clinic office friends, when she returns to
work. (You know)To me, It is rides like this that stays in ones memory,
more than a ''good weather'' ride, I think!! I like putting on all that
warm attire, and trying to stay warm.
We got a few odd glances as we buzzed by a few motorist. There wasnt but
one other bike, on the road, that we saw. on this east Texas cold Monday
    morning.
    heh heh, and more. BJAY!!
