The "Buzz" still here?

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Martin Taylor, May 27, 2004.

  1. Remember "The Buzz", Martin Buzzell? Traffic cop. He was just reported
on ABC radio at a coroner's inquest about another high speed chase where
the pursued were killed. There were claims that it reached 180 km/h in a
residential area which the buzz denied.

  3. He hasn't been seen much since he crashed pretty seriously a few years
    back...
Let me guess, "the pursuit was called off moments before the crash" too,
    eh?

Not sure of the details. Only that on the news item, he apparently
didn't manage the risk assessment very well, according to the coroner.

Martin, you should have crossposted this to aus.cars (I won't, since it's
    your thread).

It would run for a month there, provided it was given the right motivation
(ie Shane replies and Knob taunts her).

Hindsight IS 20/20 vision, you know...

Its like where I work. The plant has heaps of data collection and
process history data storage facilities. So, if something fucks up, all
they have to do is to enter in a date range and some other data and
bingo, instant report. "Shit Marty, look here, at 00:22:23.33 you
operated the de-ionising emitter, where in fact had you opened the
plasma relay buffer valve at 00:22:22.23 you would have saved the
    plant."

Never mind that at the time we might have 3 pages of alarms with the
original alarm causing the problem in the middle of page 3 2 nanoseconds
    before the incident occured.....

agrrred , hindsight is a wonderful and there never seems to be a shoortage
of arm chair warriors after an event

buzz seemed quite a nice guy and a bit more relaxed about things than some
