    MAG? What authority would that bunch of idiots have at any race
    meeting? Anyone other than a club or ACU official tried to look at my
    bike in the paddock I'd tell them to **** right off, and I *know* I'd
    have nothing to hide.

    I dount it, given just how easy Escorts (and similar) of that era were
    to nick. Pop down a breakers yard[1] and grab the keys out of
    half-a-dozen Fords and you could practically choose the colour.

    [1] An old-fashioned one[2] where you break the cars yourself, and
    only pay for the bits too big to stash in your pocket.
    [2] e.g. Loomes's at Spondon.
