    Looks like a watercooled inline four to me. Those only came after
    nearly 60 years of aircooled boxertwins and singles.

    Not totally sure, but the 1911 Wilkinson is one of the contestants
    there. It _is_ the first longitudinal watercooled shaftdrive inline
    four.

    (yes, Wilkinson, as in razors and swords)
