That really is it for the first Covenant novel. Lord Foul's Bane Page
1: "Covenant sees a police car and falls over..." Page 500
"...Covenant looks up and sees the sky, and hears the police car."

**** that ****. Qatar's lovely. And Champ said he didn't want
anything more than 50 miles from the Midlands.

Pot Noodles are really for the student population. Idle, lay-about
scrounging, drains on my taxes stereotypes like you eat pizza.

    P.S.
Don't forget to get your teeth, eyes and other bodily parts prone to
failure due to fair wear and tear checked once you qualify for the dole,
    not before.

I don't understand this. I know they are cheap and all that stuff but a
tin of soup and a handful of dried noodles are so much better tasting.

    DIY Pot Noodles rocketh mightily

  16. In uk.rec.motorcycles, steve auvache amazed us all with this pearl of
    wisdom:
I thought you said you didn't pay tax?

I thought the first book was terrific, but I was disappointed at the
way the chronicles developed after that. I think there was/is a much
better story-line waiting to be developed going on from book one. TBH
I only kept reading them as my hen SO had bought me the lot as a
    present.

it's just a sales and marketing operation. But since my remit covers IT
support for remote sales and marketing sites, it might be something
I'll get involved with. So far, my most "exotic" office is Madrid,
somewhere in Qatar would be a more interesting business trip.

As for working for me, I've got 2 contract[0a][0b] and 3
permanent[1a][1b][1c] positions I'm about to start recruiting for.
Don't think any of them would suit you, unfortunately.

[0a] need an ASP (some .Net) person
    [0b] need a Java person
    [1a] need a project manager
    [1b] need a ColdFusion/Web application support person
[1c] need an production application services person (Windows 2K3
Server, IIS, JRun, ColdFusion, J2EE, Solaris, Weblogic, server hardware
    exp.)

You could probably do 1a or 1c, but I'm not in a position to pay an
awful lot for the permies. 1c /may/ be available as a contract, not
    sure yet.
