  1. On B4 now, the second part of the Harris Tweed series.
Quirky, for those who like that sort of thing.

I had to flick over to see what it was, cos I thought maybe it was a
serialisation of a book I hadn't heard of, or something like that.

Turns out to be a documentary about some scottish cloth merchants. I
flicked back to the marginally less mind-numbing profile of Colin
    Dexter on ITV3

I actually thought they had made a Simpsons spin-off ffs.....

Harris Tweed? I think i would rather watch a program about scraping out
    cracks in the pavement.

  4. **** me, it's obvious now. You thought Harris Tweed was the name of an
undercover MI6 operative in a series about busting Alky Eeda.

I'm fairly sure there _is_ a character named Harris Tweed in one or
two of Jasper Fford's novels, now I think about it, which was
presumably what lead to that chain of thought.

Like the first couple; got sick of the single "joke" soon after that.

I persevered, but yes, the humour did wear a little thin, and the
suspension of disbelief was pushed to its limits at times.

playing croquet (or something) that I gave up.

I wouldn't go so far as to say my idol has feet of clay, but Champ's
certainly crossed some kind of threshold with this one.

    Quite good, I thought, too.
Your opinions on what's funny and what's not are not necessarily
contiguous with those of the rest of the group.

Even Champ seems mildly ashamed of it, and he wrote it.

Sure, but you'll come around to my way of thinking one day.

Well he tried to defend it, yes. But I didn't see signs of shame, per
    se.
Is that supposed to be funny?
