    What a revelation!

    I went for a foil, after more research.

    I was looking for a high-end Panasonic and found one on sale at Dixons - a
    web only deal.

    Panasonic ES8043. Normally around £90 - Web offer £49.99.

    Can be used wet or dry. 13,000 rpm motor - just a quick go-over has left
    the bare areas smoother than any blade I've ever used.

    No real irritation, to speak of, which is bloody good, considering I've
    not actually shaved any part of my face for at least 10 years.
